Payments made prior to agreement by attorney for legal services may be returned if the attorney chooses to not assist or represent the prospective client.

Payments made by third party payors on behalf of a client are considered a loan or gift to that client and do not make the third party payor a client. Any agreement regarding return of the gift or loan is between the third party and the client.
